Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 June 2026
Smsy Media GmbH (“Smsy”, “we”) makes a friendly SMS app for small businesses. This policy explains, in plain language, what data we collect and why. We keep it short on purpose.
What we collect
- Your account info: name, business name, email, and billing details.
- Your contacts: the phone numbers you upload, which you have permission to text.
- How you use Smsy: which features you use and how your texts perform.
- Basic technical bits: IP and device info, via cookies.
Why we use it
To run the app, send your texts, take payment, help you out, and meet our legal and carrier obligations. We never sell your data or your customers’ numbers.
Your customers’ numbers
You own the lists you upload, and you’re responsible for getting opt-in consent. We act on your behalf to store and deliver messages and to handle opt-outs - we don’t market to your contacts ourselves.
Who we share with
Only the partners we need to run the service: the carriers that deliver texts, our payment processor, and our hosting providers - all under contract. We’ll disclose data if the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Just email hello@smsy.media and we’ll sort it.
Keeping it safe
We use encryption and access controls to protect your data, and we’ll tell you promptly if anything goes wrong.
Changes
If this policy changes, the latest version lives here with an updated date.
